So you have paid the kings ransom to get started in the business, now you want to begin that first step to qualification and financial freedom. The answer ? MLM targeted leads offered by many lead vendors, you often find packages of 100 for $300 to $400, of those 100 leads you will find that 20 are non working numbers, another 30 don’t pick up, another 20 don’t remember filling out a form for a home based business (thats because they really filled out a form to win a dream vacation) and the remaining 30 are qualified simply because they picked up the phone, later to discover that they are deadbeats who are looking to turn $49.99 into $1,000,000.00 in 6 to 12 months.

Sounds like something you have been through? well but of course, you see Buying leads keeps the industry dumb, keeps the simple system well uh SIMPLE!, but if you really want to make money in this industry you have to stop buying those highly qualified MLM Targeted Leads and start, begin the self education of marketing, after all it is Network “Marketing”, and being the marketer that I am with full use of the internet I would like to believe that “Network” implies we use this phenomanal resource called the INTERNET.

So where do you begin, for starters start thinking about a landing page, or your own unique lead capture page. Not the one’s your company offers as they are generic and focus on “personal success” as opposed to their objectives. You have seen it, guy on the beach, guy driving exotic sports cars, big boat, these things are ineffective and often give the aura of “SCAM”, your landing page must be unique, simple, and focus on your potential leads objectives which indirectly means financial freedom, but initially these prospects come to you to solve a problem, the problems range from super long commutes, more time with family, more money (obviously) or some other motive, and since your landing page cannot suffice every personal motive out there, it shouldn’t begin to try.

The anatomy of the landing page, should be strong headline. “DO YOU HATE YOUR JOB” or something like that, be creative, but the message has to be powerful, invoke thought, and create a sense of emotion such as “DID YOU SEE YOUR DAUGHTER LAST NIGHT”….

The content of the page needs to be short sweet concise, none of these long copy lead capture pages that dull you with some personal story worthy of a New York Time’s Best seller. It needs to include bullet points not stories, it needs to allow the eyes and brain to confer one thing. I want more information, and with that the prospect has opted to fill your form. Name, email, telephone, easy sweet and simple.

So how do you market? well begin by writing, sounds like a pain but good copy in the form of press releases, or blogs is a good way to drive traffic. and then there is Sponsored Search. My favorite……

Google adwords is a great way to start marketing your business, one caveat, you have to know what you are doing, stay away from key words like Home Based Business, and use indrect key-terms that help entice interest but are less competitive. A less competitive key term dollar for dollar would be, “high gas prices”, why is this indirectly related? Simply because people are extremely price conscious of the fuel that gets them to work. So if fuel and work are directly related, and money is the culprit of “INTEREST” than you have a powerful message to convey to your potential prospect. with an AD such as

Headline :Soaring Gas Prices

content: Keeping you from those weekend dinners

content: End the Commute and start making money

url: xyz.com

The above is simply just an example, to give you an Idea how gas prices can indirectly trigger an opportunity seeker.

So here are some rules to abide by, you should spend no less than $50 on adwords per lead generation effort. at 25 cents a click you should expect about 200 visitors and with a 9 % to 12 % coversion rate you should expect about 20 leads from your effort, but these are not PURCHASED leads, these are people who qualified themselves on YOUR LANDING PAGE, who are waiting for your call, not some sweepstakes rep to tell them they just one a dream vacation package for 2. This my friends is a quality targeted lead.

You see, the life and blood of your business is LEADS, not plugging into the system, not fantasizing success, or faking it till you make it, the latter is the “disposition of hope” without the “instruction to manifest”

First you need Leads! You are usually told to buy leads from a “preferred vendor” , or use the “incredible lead capture page” that is part of your incredible expensive back office ($29.99, a month). Oh wait a second! does that mean, john doe 1, 4, 5, and 10 have the same capture page ?  Oh yeah Duplication, Duplication, Duplication, means that you, your, sponsor, and organization truly suffer from, RETARDATION, RETARDATION, RETARDATION!, and for your prospect who has found you on the net, can’t really tell you from the pack, because there is no INDIVIDUALIZATION!

But you need leads right ? And so you do what they tell you to do, “Go out there buy some leads or, start marketing your lead capture page! It’s awesome the system comes with auto-responders and you don’t have to do anything!” Oh boy sounds to me that this industry also lacks MOTIVATION!, a bunch of lazy guys siting behind auto-responders. Hey guys let me set something straight. How big is your organization, how big is your pipeline that you feel the need to ignore the customer service element of your business, you feel the need to ignore the follow-up call or draft a solid email pertinent to your discussion?

You are reading this because either you have a small team OR NO TEAM AT ALL, and we all wonder why? Customer service is a big part of your success they say “people don’t care about what you know, until they know that you care”, It’s time for a little INSPIRATION and make change.

So whats wrong with Auto-responders? Most hit the spam folder, so they never truly get your marketing material to your prospect, secondly the marketing material is written “by professionals” in a manner that is soliciting, ignorant, and in the end feels like a psychological mind f$ck, giving your prospect the feeling of IF YOU DON’T SIGN UP YOU’RE A LOSER and I’M A WINNER, because I choose “life beyond freedom” (hey winner, you need that LOSER, to help pay for that new granite counter top, and your daughters braces)

An alternative to Auto-responders is A VIRAL EMAIL, and all you need are a few friends to do this……

We have all received an email Like this, that seems rather harmless to pass on, and honestly your friends will love to pass the email on, the trick is to incorporate your brand/logo within the email (or add little text links in the e-mail that says this e-mail was brought to you bye XYZ.com) and Let 5 people send to 5 people, so on and so on, NO LIST REQUIRED, and INCREDIBLE BRAND EXPOSURE, you could very well drive allot of TRAFFIC, with no SPAM FOLDER TO CONTEST, why ? Because your mail server is not blasting the email, YOUR FRIENDS ARE SENDING TO FRIENDS THEY KNOW, and SO THE OPEN RATE INCREASES DRAMATICALLY, the spam folder is no longer an opponent, and your business is now afloat in CYBER space, collecting visitors to your site.

But your site has to be lean it has to be sharp, It has to be Cutting Edge! No No, this is not a proven system pitch, this is simply the way it has to be. From Liberty League all the way To Lifepath, there has been a common denominator in the SQUEEZE PAGE, or LEAD CAPTURE PAGE, they are long, full of hype, RAH RAH, and talks TOO much about “YOUR PERSONAL EXPERIENCE”, leave the match making to Match.com, your page is not their for them to fall in love with your story, or get excited about your TRIP to Cancun, they are on your site because they want to CHANGE THEIR LIVES, Can you HELP ? Your landing pages need to be void of DOLLARS and CENTS, it’s need to be SIMPLE….e.g. miss your daughter ? , hate your job ? , didn’t get a raise this year? On the brink of foreclosure? , Let Us Help….FILL THE FORM BELOW, to see how we can help you.……..These are all very real situations that almost every american can relate to, unfortunately they cannot relate to your $30K month or your trip to FIJI, or that new BMW you bought. OPRAH, Donald Trump, Martha Stewart, Eddie Bauer, Carol Shelby, all recognizable names, can you affiliate the name with the industry SURE, Tv, Real Estate, Stock Thief, Outdoor/Rugged Wear, and FAST FREAKING COBRAS, respectively.

So build equity in your name.
