www.videooptimize.com – Blake Goodwin, Wendy Stevens The Truth

There has been great a deal of interest in the Lifepath Unlimited Synergy Event in regards to videooptimize.com, and it’s inference to the FUTURE, in what Wendy Stevens calls a new trend in internet marketing. The language was video, video, video and how video’s can link to websites to create an optimized web page, or help to get top search engine rankings on GOOGLE, well guys you know me and you know me well, because I am about to tell you that IT IS UTTER BULLSHIT.

I can say that without a doubt because YOUTUBE in itself is an authority site that uses the NOFOLLOW attribute, meaning any links from the video description hold NO SEO WEIGHT or benefit for Search Engine Optimizing your site, in layman’s terms it means it won’t help your site get ranked, and it won’t help your site generate leads DIRECTLY

Look up on GOOGLE the NOFOLLOW , hell it was invented by GOOGLE

Community/social & linking factors weigh heavily in determining ranking on many video search engines. This includes Ratings, Favorites, Playlists, Comments, Honors, Views, Embedding, Response Videos, and Linking. “Click on a competitors video watch page “Statistics & Data” tab and analyze the factors contributing to the video ranking success, then work to meet or beat them!

Description field

  • Anchor description length of 27 characters (max) – this is the maximum amount of characters you have for keyword placement before the “three dots” and the end of each video link on YouTube.
  • Include a clickable URL in the first line of the description tag. The first line of the description is what appears by (And again, if you want to avoid it looking truncated, keep it to within 27 characters.)

Video image(s)

  • Include a call-to-action. conclude the video with an instructional/visual cue to click on the link, and show your call-to-action right in the thumbnails. (As we’ve reported here, YouTube takes the thumbnails at the ¼, ½, and ¾ mark.
  • Having a phone number with a solid background really stands out
  • Constant In-Video Description/Branding/Call To Action – brand the leadcapturepage / URL throughout entire video (instead of at the end, which is most common); also, include the registration call to action within the video while suggesting a click on a live URL in the description panel.

Link building

YouTube adds “nofollow” to all video titles… except those displayed under ‘Recent Activity.’ “If possible, try to keep most desired videos in “Recent Activity” section. The anchor text length on “Recent Activity” link is 27 Characters. Building links to these videos (embedded on-page) is ideal [for SEO] if you know how to do it RIGHT!. Plus links to video channel helps with reputation management, brand recognition, and repoire and credibility”

Las Vegas Style…

Sin city, gotta love the place, or should I say hate the place, or even better stated, hate the way I feel in the morning after partying all night, and realizing that my 1o grand has dwindled to a mere 5 dollar’s in poker chips, Oh well won’t be too hard finding an ATM would it ?. Home values in the region have plummeted to the bottom of the toilet, casino’s are losing revenues faster than Britney Spears lost the hair on her head, oh what a great place to be, actually I LOVE IT.

There could be no better place to host an event. Why ? because Las Vegas was merely a dream, vast desert turned into the world’s “BIGGEST SMALLEST CITY” , now that take’s vision, not the kinda vision experienced after a few rounds of tequila, at Palms resort, but the kind of vision that made this place the cash cow it once was, and by 2015 will be again. A vision of isolation, grandeur, and fun, oh yeah and that other thing they call taking your money, aka gambling.

Lifepath Unlimited is a great company. focused on self help and personal development, don’t you hate when people use that in the same sentence ? Isn’t self help and personal development the same shit ? Ok back to my story, The Lifepath Synergy Event.

Now the lifepath unlimited synergy event is more than a conventional Las Vegas venue: gambling your money on a business venture does not happen here. It’s a cultivation of like minded individuals who seek to share the vision of abundance, wealth creation, success, and prosperity.

How do I know all this ? I’m not even a Lifepath Unlimited Rep…well I tell you what, when you bust your ass 15 hours a day helping lifepath unlimited associates take their business to the next level, YOU KNOW TOO FUCKING MUCH, like when Michael Hamburger realized that people like their beef steamed and not boiled thus he shipped his Hamburger ass to Wealth Master’s, nothing against WMI, some of my favorite clients like Andrea Pokorny are wmi guys, but Lifepath Unlimited is my core focus, I love the company, I love the relationships I have built, minus the Jeremy Miner’s or FireStone’s, these guys are a reflection of how much money can truly be made in this industry, and yes, these guys are iconic as they resemble the epitome of the perfect business when it comes to dollars earned, but these guys cannot PIONEER the idea of leadership or training to save their ass. The Firestone’s need to keep “Chasing Diana” actually, ummmm, I heard “Geraldo” is making a comeback and needs a story…

Mr. Hamburger, your name would look so much cooler as a Mcdonald’s Franchise Owner… Imagine seeing that on someone’s nameplate.

Ok back to the Synergy Event In Las Vegas, one of my most loved guys and believe me I love them all equally, but this guy is special, because his last name is Lucci, yes italian and he threatened to cut my toes off if I didn’t include his name in this post LOL, just kidding, having fun here, and I hope you are too, but Joe Lucci, a very successful entrepreneur and millionaire courtesy of REAL ESTATE IN CALIFORNIA, who knows a thing or two about making money and building brands called me earlier and asked “should I go to this event? , I mean whats the big deal, why should I”… I do his marketing, he has seen great result’s even though he is too busy living the great life in his 500 foot megamillion dollar yacht (ok that is a spoof, meant to be a joke and counter the belief that owning a business is easy), actually Joe is a fucking hard worker, a client I love to market for, and a success story I enjoy being part of.  But back to his question, and I am pretty sure it’s your question as well.

Lifepath Unlimited – A Real Marketing Plan

Are you planning for explosive sales this year through an effective, organized Internet marketing campaign or are you maintaining your status quo and hoping for the best?

A planned, organized Internet marketing campaign with rotation through a variety of targeted sites, directories and venues is not hard to coordinate, does not need to cost a great deal of money and can generate traffic and sales faster than search engine submissions alone. It takes a bit of research and a solid knowledge of your target customer, but you can plan and implement a simple marketing campaign in the space of a dedicated day.

A Five Step Marketing Plan follows, created by in the trenches experience with Internet marketing for small business. By doing each of the actions, you’ll end up with an effective  marketing campaign for 2010, creating a marketing plan that can be implemented immediately and begin reaping you sales successes.

Internet Marketing Plan Step 1 – Defining Your Customer

Defining your customer is as important as defining your products or naming your business. If you have not yet done a marketing plan within your business plan, then you need to do this exercise. If you already have this in your business plan, you can skip ahead to Step 2.

Action:
Answer these questions as honestly as you can. In other words, don’t project your expectations or hopes on them. What is your perfect, solid customer really like?

  • Is my perfect customer male or female?
  • Does my perfect customer work out of the home or in the home?
  • What is the job profile of my perfect customer – an executive, manager, worker, entrepreneur, stay-at-home parent, etc.
  • What is the net household income of my perfect customer?
  • What level of education does my perfect customer have?
  • Does my perfect customer have room in her spending budget for my product/service on a one time, occasional or constant basis?
  • How do my perfect customers use my product/service ?
  • Does my perfect customer spend a lot, some or minimal time on the Internet?
  • Where does my perfect customer look for my product/service/opportunity? Both online and in physical locations?

Once you have this written out, you should have a good picture of where to start looking to place your message and how to write your message copy.

Internet Marketing Plan Step 2 – Choosing Your Targets

Now, where are you going to post your ads? A coordinated effort across several sites and venues commonly frequented by your customers is the most effective marketing campaign. If you are seen in several places your visibility and retained message is much stronger. Complementary sites that you can help cross-promote to your visitors, who will then see you there too, will provide excellent reinforcement of your message. Opportunity specific sites that are well promoted are excellent areas to consider.

When considering a site or newsletter for your ad, look at factors such as traffic, search engine placement, external linking (how many places link to it), quality of current ads and types of messages being presented in current ads. Are there many competitors of yours already or is the advertising of a complementary nature to your business? Are the ads completely unrelated to your business and to the intended traffic of the site? These are all clues to measure a best fit of your message to the traffic of the site.

Pay-Per-Click (PPC) advertising is another consideration for your Internet marketing campaign but can be daunting for someone new to this form (this is my specialty, and find it to be a very rewarding venue). If you’re new to PPC, stick to places that allow you to set limits on daily expenditures. Google is a good example. This will also help you to experiment and determine the most effective keywords by paying close attention to the statistics of the PPC campaign.

Conversion rates are an important measuring tool. What you need to do is determine what exactly you want to measure for your marketing campaign. Is it sales orders? Newsletter subscribers? Downloads of your free e-book? A conversion rate is the number of click-throughs it takes to achieve your target measurement. Your page may have 1000 hits, 14 clicks and 1 sale in a day. Your conversion rate is 1:14 or 7.1%. In other words, 7.1% of the clicks are generating a sale during this period.

Close monitoring of your conversion rates will quickly tell you what is working and what is not. Don’t hesitate to change, tweak or modify your ads if needed. This is a process in constant motion until you find the best fit. Remember too, an ad may work superbly in one place but not in another. (If you are a lifepath unlimited, wealth master’s, or polaris media rep, KNOWING THIS CAN MEAN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN FAILURE AND SUCCESS)

Action:
Create a spreadsheet or document that you will enter in all the sites and venues that are a consideration in your Internet marketing campaign.

Internet Marketing Plan Step 3 – Budget

While some folks think this should be the first step, realistically you can better create the budget for your marketing plan when you have a good idea of the costs involved. That can only be done once you’ve figured out your targets. You probably already have a figure in mind of how much you can really spend, so go back to your marketing campaign sheet and total up the costs of all the ad spots you’d like to do. Chances are that total will exceed your overall spending limit.

Action:
Now go through that list and prioritize the ads in terms of where you think you’ll get the most exposure and results that fit within your budget. (The obvious is really not the so obvious, I have had more clicks going to franchise business campaigns than home based business, and for these tier 1 programs, that is great, why ? Because these are REAL INVESTORS) Move the others into a holding list. Remember, as the ads start to pull in results you can always go back and expand your marketing campaign from that holding list.

If you are engaged in pay-per-click advertising, check in daily for the first week or so and monitor your results to ensure you are paying for results.

Don’t forget to consider ad swaps and bartering as part of your payment and marketing budget. Many sites will swap newsletter ads or banner ads for similar placement on your site. It never hurts to ask.

Internet Marketing Plan Step 4 – Creating Your Ad Content

Internet marketing works best when you focus only on one or two things. You may have a variety of products or opportunities but pick one or two items that are good sellers and have a solid appeal to your target market for your marketing campaign.

Next ask yourself, “What am I selling”? It’s rarely the product or service. You are selling a benefit, something that registers at the emotional level. If you are selling fishing rods, for example, you’re selling the excitement of successfully landing that monster in the lake. If you are selling cosmetics, you’re selling beauty. If you are selling the “Discovery, Breakthrough, or Destiny Series” you are selling the benefit of personal fulfillment and financial gain

The most successful ads use words that relate to the customer. Use You and Yours and never put the focus on Me, Mine, Our, My or We. Create several emotional words associated with the product – fun, comforting, relaxing, stimulating, successful – and use at least one of them in the ad.

Action:
Create a text ad for each item in your Internet marketing campaign, making sure to hit at least one to three prime keywords in the text. Text ads typically run 60 characters wide by 3, 5, 7 or 10 lines long.

Once you have your text ads, go through your banner inventory. Do you need to update them with a 2010 specific message? Does every image have an appropriate ALT tag? Is the graphic properly optimized for size (under 20-50kb) and resolution (72dpi)?

Internet Marketing Plan Step 5 – Tracking & Monitoring Your Ads

Tracking and reacting to your campaign’s successes are critical in maintaining an effective marketing campaign. From your website stats to PPC stats, there are many ways to determine what is working and what isn’t. By paying attention you’ll learn volumes about your ads and how to hone them for best results.

Tracking tricks include using conversion codes for each ad placement, setting up separate entry pages on your site for each ad, and utilizing a service that helps track activity.

Action:
On a daily basis for the first two weeks, review the results of your various ads. Write them up in your tracking sheet and look for any trends or patterns. Which ones are performing, where and why? If some aren’t working, replace them with others that are or try another from your hold list. Once you settle into a pattern of review and ad management you’ll know better how often you need to monitor your marketing campaigns.

Successful Internet marketing campaigns are within the reach of any business, no matter what your budget. By following these basic marketing plan steps and committing to the follow-through, you can create a cost effective marketing campaign with a substantial return on investment.
